Early Head Start Manager/Infant – Toddler Specialist:  Seeking an innovative Manager with a unique blend of knowledge in both infant-toddler development and family engagement/social work practices. Position is based in the City of Portage 35 min N of Madison. Coordinates home based services for Early Head Start and Head Start children from infancy to age five in a 5 county rural area. Also oversees homebased services to pregnant mothers. Responsible for the supervision and professional development of Home Visitor Supervisors and Home Visitors. May be asked to develop center-based programming for toddlers. Monitors and reviews all services/paperwork in order to maintain compliance with Head Start standards. Will assist the CEO in writing grants and monitoring budgets. Classroom will be primarily 4 year olds. Ability to create and implement differentiated lessons to address individual needs of children with particular focus on math and literacy. Head Start Bus Driver, Reedsburg II, Reedsburg, WI:  This position is a part time 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, part year position that runs for 9 and ½ months during our school year.  The wage range is $11.20 to $12.36 per hour depending on experience.  The bus driver will drive Head Start children in a mini-bus with an automatic transmission twice per day, once for pickup in the morning and another for drop-off in the afternoon.  An aide accompanies driver on every route. The bus driver must have or obtain a School Bus Driver’s License (CDL) within 90 days of hire and have a clean driving record for the past 3 years. Center Assistant/Sub Bus Driver Reedsburg I Head Start: Full time position; Monday through Friday from mid-August to May 31 of each year.  Wage range is $9.16 to $10.12 per hour depending on experience.  This position assists the Teacher in working with preschool children in the classroom and while being transported on the bus.  Preference may be given to candidates with Early Childhood I & II or experience with preschool children.  This position must obtain a school bus driver’s license (CDL) as quickly as possible or at the latest by September 5th when classes begin.  Must have a clean driving record for the past 3 years.  Must have Early Childhood I & II classes within 1 year of hire. Long Term Substitute Cook: Reedsburg Head Start: 32 Hours per Week, Monday through Friday until the end of the school year, May 31.  Wage range is $9.16 to $10.12 per hour. Responsibilities include planning, purchasing, preparing and serving meals to 3 and 4 year old children; completing required paperwork for the Child Care Food Program; Cleaning kitchen/eating area and doing nutrition activities with the children.
